Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan wrapped up its 50th annual Food Marketing Conference last week, and it was a success no matter how you measure it. The conference sold out well in advance, and included some big name speakers, such as Al Carey, the CEO of Pepsico Americas Beverages, and Dennis Edison, the CEO of SpartanNash. WMU puts this conference on every year as a way to get some of the biggest names in the CPG industry together, but they are also aiming to benefit the students in their successful Food Marketing program. These students get some of the best training in the industry, and this is a great opportunity for them to meet some of the biggest companies in the field and lay the foundation for their success.
