Shopper Versus Consumer. What Is The Difference?

When comparing a shopper versus consumer can we assume they are one and the same? Well, the answer is sometimes, but it isn’t always the case.

The consumer can be defined as the person or even animal that consumes or uses a product or service. The shopper, on the other hand, is the person making the shopping decisions. These purchase decisions include:

  • what they buy
  • when they buy it
  • where they buy it
  • how they purchase it and many more.
